Golde60 ·

I need to get some info from one of the aircooled brothers over in germany.

can anyone recommend a forum?

or better still, does anyone know any Germans running CB dropped spindles who have the TUV certification

I cant get any joy from CB Perfromance. I have been told by Custom Speed Parts (who re-sell CB Spindles in Germany) that they will only provide a the TUV Certification if I purchase the spindles from them

I already have them here, I just want the details so that I can get the engineering Certificate.

damn this drawn out process.

Anyone know any friendly Germans??

No Mate. Sorry, I thought everyone had to learn German before buying a Dub. That's what Hitler wanted.

I translated some of it, and its a discussion of using CB performance dropped spindles versus CSP Dropped Spindles it would appear. There are no TUV cert numbers in there, but lots of good stuff on the merits of both. One guy says that the info CSP give you can only be used by the Engineer for background info on the spindles, and can't be used alone for certification of a spindle. Apparently each spindle has to be certified individually.

Have you asked TUV themselves? They may charge you for the report, but I'd happily chip in towards the cost, as I too want to Engineer it and do it the proper way as its no use risking spending your life full of remorse and regret when the cause is "VW stance vanity"

Cheers

P.S the german for dropped spindle seems to be "Achsschenkel"
