a big must for off road guy hey Chris !

lulu94 ·

at the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, is it an accelerator pedal?
how does it work?

sorry i have never seen one of these before and im curious

twoguns ·

it goes in placve of your stock pedal. the roller ball sits under your foot and does jsut that.
i would be interested in this for my buggy if it will infact fit RHD??? let me know, please.

Menangler ·

I cannot see that fitting a RHD car, it just won't work.
A LHD and a RHD pedal set up are completely different.

Ryan here, Danielle asked me about this 🙂

I dont see why you would want a roller to push against rather than a nice flat pedal, unless this goes behind the pedal, where there is already a roller (on Dani's beetle anyway) which would make it pointless...

I'm still not sure exactly how it works, but I should think it would work find on a RHD beetle, because even though the pedals are on the opposite side, the brake is in the middle, the clutch is on the left, and the accelerator is on the right, up against the trans tunnel (or whatever) in a LHD vehicle.this is possibly why the stock accelerator pedal slopes across to the right, doesnt seem a reason in a RHD car where it is against the kick panel, but in a LHD it would mvoe the mounting point away from the centre hump, but keep the pedal in a nice position to use.

i never got to install it, but was gonna run it on my RHD car.
