Well tommorrow the big day. We start in The Great Endeavour Rally. We are running a 1960 BAJA which you may have seen in earlier posts. The vehicle has been extensively reworked a very special thanks to a top bloke by the name of Pyschobugger. Below is a bit of info about the event.
The Great Endeavour is a major fundraising venture for the Endeavour Foundation, providing services for people with an intellectual disability. After some misadventures last year BJ (my little brother) and I are heading off again in our 1960 VW Baja Beetle. This years adventure is from the 14th to the 23rd July. This year sees 100+ cars heading from Kingaroy (in South East Qld) to Coffs Harbour (NSW) via Tasmania. Our overnight stops are Baan Baa, Albury, Port Sorento, Scamanda, Marlo, Bathurst, Valla and then to Coffs with 2 nights travelling on the Spirit of Tasmania. The trip is approx 5 000 km over the 10 days.
If you are anywhere near these areas and happen to hear about a rally coming through somewhere near you, please come and look for us. We are the only VW bug on the rally so ask, I'm sure most ralliers will know us because of this.
To those in Tassie that replied to my message I have recorded this incase we may need some parts.
