Type 4 Conversion

Just wondering if the large aluminium fan housing at the rear of kombi engine is needed in a Sharp Built type 4 upright conversion. Also what are people doing with the heat exchangers/ exhaust systems. Just trying to clean my garage and get rid of all the junk.

your talking in a bug right nicko. cause if you are the fan housing isnt used but you can use the heater boxes if you shorten them about 2-4 inches. i then used a extractor set that i modified to fit the bug with it ending in a tuck away mufler

Thanks Barls Its for my splitty but I imagine it will be pretty much the same as a beetle.
