Hmmmm maybe... Mercedes etc share the headlight glass with indicators. You will need to get a shroud made up so the indicators work in 'darkness' (if that makes sense) and the headlights don't 'kill' them. I have trailer lamps inside my Beetle headlamps but they are difficult to see at night with the headights on... no shrouds

You dont need a shroud, mine worked great at night and day, I had American spec ones with the indicator inside.
The mercs get away with them in the headlights because they have a separate indicator on the side or in the side mirror.
I am sure you will find that the indicator mmust be able to be seen from the side of the vehicle, inside the light they cant.
Cheers

Side lights are a separate ADR/rule. What US spec VWs had indicators in the headlights? Aren't they park lights?

so stick some hot rod ones on the bumper and get the blue split is the safe option then.
