Thanks. I have seen SaWs and teh work great but would like to get local ones if I can... SB or LMS engineering or whatever...

Hi

Give LMS a call he knows how to get in touch with Superboot. If you dont have LMSs number U2 me.

These axles were on Dave Stockers Ghia, then my bug.

what about a picture and if i may sound slightly stupid: what is the primary benifit of these over some modified type 4 ones (beetle one end, type four other end)?

1303Steve ·

Hi 555

The benefit of using Kombi CVs at both ends is the added strenght. These shafts and CVs came from Dave Stockers (LMS) Ghia, he ran a Kombi box in the Ghia, these are the correct lenght if you are going to use a Kombi box in a IRS bug, Ghia or Type 3.

When I fitted them into my bug I was using a Type 1 box, so the axles were too short, Dave made me some adapators/spacers that in affect lenghten the axle and allowed the Kombi CV to bolt to my Type 1 flanges on my gearbox.

I will take some photos tomorrow.
