Is there any way to slow the carb from heating up the bi-metalic? I'm thinking of using a resistor to reduce the voltage, but will that still let the spring open up all the way properly?

hey man how did you go with the starter?and how did you go with neighbour whos nature strip got sqwished. Is it a 30 pict1 or a 30pict2?about the resistor never heard of it done.

If you loosen the 3 screws off and twist the ceramic disc (clockwise for less choke anti for more - I think) and then tighten it back up again

have a read here

The lawn in even more phuqed coz they laid down new concrete for the footpath the next day - a mini Catapillar run up and down half of it! Not happy Jan!

I got the started recoed - $121 - now it's pristine!

It's a PICT2..

I've tried rotating the choke body more anti-clockwise, but then it closes the butterfly too much and not enough air can get in and it runs like crap when cold..

PS: I also don't have any thermostat operated flaps in my fan housing, so it's taking even longer for it to warm up properly.. eanyone got a set I can get my hands on?)

yes as Barry said loosen the screws off and adjust with a little more pressure on the spring, for winter and re adjust back to the mark as per stock setting for summer.

Is your carby pre heat mainfold pipe clear and working right as well...

I'll try that barrel rotation thing again then..

ah yes.. my manifold riser tube....... BLOCKED!!!!

It's rectification is on my things to do list....
