Camberwell Road: In someone's lucky driveway I keep seeing a new Beetle.... but in front of it (which I noticed this morning) is what looks to be a damn nice dual cab Kombi ute, in similar blue to my Beetle and it has a white roof. Verrrrry nice!!
Also this morning I saw a very yellow Beetle drive down Camberwell Rd also. I think it was an Oval, and I'm sure I saw some matching very yellow hubcaps. The dude driving had nice dreads!!

Down Burwood Highway this time: I had a dark green Beetle following behind me! Tehehe, a mini Beetle Cruise on my way to work this morning!! Most days as I'm driving home from work (around 5:10pm) down Barkers Rd I usually pass a very clean and original-looking white L Bug, with a suited gentleman driving it. He turns left at Burke Rd, I turn right. :P

Monday driving down Burwood Hwy: Saw the dark green P plater Beetle again, and also a musky pink/purple P plater Beetle in need of some TLC. Both must go to Deakin Uni as that's where I saw them doing a u-ey to get to. :P
Today: down Burwood rd almost at Glenferrie Rd: A really nice original pale grey Beetle putting along in the opposite direction.

Whenever I drive my vw's I always wave to all other aircooled volkswagens, although most people dont wave back 🙁
My bug is currently off the road for restoration and I am greatly looking forward to the purr of the motor in the back!

Today as I was driving home, I was on Burke Rd just before turning left onto Canterbury Rd, and I happened to look down a side street, Rye-something St (can't remember name!). Anyways, I saw what looked to be a very nice deep blue Beetle with some interesting looking wheels parked near the start of the street.
I also saw a dark khaki-coloured Kombi with a white roof turning off of Burwood Hwy. It looked very clean and shiny! No curtains in the windows.
I love seeing veedubs! *giggles* 😵💫

Ooooh.... this morning at about 8am as I was driving along Camberwell Rd, I saw a silver New Beetle.... but on my side of the road, in it's super-low shiny blue & white glory, was the nicest twin cab Kombi ute that I've ever seen! It's the one I posted about earlier.... and I didn't catch the rego as I was too busy drooling at it's shiny lowness. It is lighter blue than my bug, with the VW emblem on the front in the same blue, and has a white roof. Whoever owns it must be sooooo proud! :thumb

Wow.... four very nice Beetles and a Kombi today! 🙂
First one was a deep orange/red parked at Maxi Foods in UFTG. I see this one almost every morning at about 7:15, and one sweet looking ride it is too! Very shiny. 😀
Second one was a gorgeous deep plum Beetle with white wall tyres turning left onto Ferntree Gully Rd from Burwood Hwy. I've seen this one a fair few times driving, I love the look of it!
Then on my way home from work, I saw a white Kombi with aqua/green flowers or something painted along the bottom, about a foot or so up the sides. Dreadlocked dude driving.
I didn't get to catch up to the VERY yellow Beetle on Burwood Hwy just after Springvale road at about 5:30pm, but it stood out at a distance!
And as I was on my way to my gorgeous bf's house around 7:45pm tonight, I was passed by (and then I passed him) a nice '71 or '72 creamy beige Super Bug.... it was a very nice car, and he got the thumbs up!
My only gripe is that not enough people return the smiles and waves. Snobs! j/k 🤘

I saw a nice looking aqua Ragtop Beetle on Barkers Rd at 5:00pm tonight, and then an original orange Beetle on Warrigal Rd just near Toorak Rd intersection.
No waves from either of them! 🥲
Also saw a white Karmann Ghia driving past the Skipping Girl on Victoria Rd, Abbotsford at 8:20am this morning, I've seen this one a few times now!

As I left work at 5pm tonight I saw a grey camo-paint Bay Kombi with NSW plates.... looked awesome!
Then I saw a pale yellow Beetle and got a nice wave in return!
Next I saw a pale blue-green with white roof Splitty (at Auburn Rd & Canterbury Rd interestion) in immaculate condition!
And all of these I saw within 4 minutes!! 😂

Oh.... at 5pm just as I left work, driving on Victoria Rd in Abbotsford I got a couple of nice toots from a wicked looking Beetle as he hooned past me! It was a lovely light aqua blue and had white sides.

Last night I saw a VERY nice yellow Beetle pull into a driveway (?) off Warrigal Rd. It had yellow rimmed wheels with very shiney silver hubcaps. Very purdy!

I've worked out that on an average day driving to and from work, I see 4 old Beetles, 2 new ones and 2 Kombis. All different of course! 😀
This morning I saw the extremely nice looking deep orange/red 'LOWBUG'. I usually drive past him when he's parked in Maxi Foods carpark around 7:15am. Then I saw the little old lady in her original white Beetle, near cnr Stud Rd and Burwood Hwy. Such a cutie! And then on Burwood Rd near Glenferrie Rd I drove past a very clean and shiny original pale green Beetle (an Oval?) Didn't get a wave though. 🥲

This morning at about 7:50 a pale green S-Bug (SUK-966) pulled out of a sidestreet onto Burwood Rd, it was very original looking with shiny hub caps and nice tinted windows.
I wanted to wave at the chickie driving it, but I think my Beetle was too Blinged-up for her to even look at. 🥲

i tried totake a "shortcut" to my missus place, turned right at some roundabout instead of left, and had to go up thru mt dandenong, olinda, sasafras, past the cuckoo etc to get to Ferntreegully... apart from me being hungover/queasy, and the windy road, it was a decent drive 😀 could be a good-jun for a cruise.. see how many dubs can fall off the edge of thoes windy roads 🙂

This morning about 7:30am, spotted a deep purple/blue Bay with a royal blue pop-top, on Burwood Highway near Kmart in Burwood. Then a bit further towards the city saw a Super Bug convertible in the Holden hothouse green colour. Nice!
And a bit further towards the city still, I saw a P-plater in a white Super Bug.

On my way home tonight (about 5:45pm) near Mountaingate Shopping Centre, I saw a Bug Eye!! It was red, had a surfboard across the roof, and looked so sweet!! 😀
Also saw a khaki green Beetle with cream sides.... very clean.

Last night Fleur and I had a yellow L bug in front of us and a white S beetle turning past us. So in the intersection there were about 12 cars and 3 were VW Beetles. It's a pretty good sight.
I was waving to both other beetle drivers and they both didn't wave back at me. As I was a passenger I was waving with both hands pretty franticly. The white one was turning, and we definitley had eye contact, but he must have been concentrating on the turn. The L bug driver was either oblivious or ignoring me also. 🙁

I've never had any VW before my PBB, but now when I tell people I have a Beetle they say "That figures!" or "It's so you!", etc... yet I don't see how when I love a fast car with aircon, and this one is and has neither! 😉

Have not noticed many waves until recently (abt. the last year), since when Bertie has been getting lots of waves from other Beetles. Have initiated a few, usually get a return wave; but have given up on Kombi's as they seem to ignore poor Bertie. Kids (on footpath) point at Bertie now a lot, & sometimes call out, which I'd never noticed before. All kids seem very Beetle-conscious, BUT we get the occasional "what on earth is that?" look in the type 3! :duh

I've noticed kids are indeed very aware of them, especially little tackers.... but I've had old people pointing and smiling as I drive past, and I get waved at my people driving New Minis, New Beetles, Mercs and Beemers, and thumbs up from guys in utes! I've lost count of the amount of times people pull up at lights leaving a huge gap in front of them, and drive along slowly perving on my Bug... especially truckies. 👍

Well, this morning was awesome on my way to work (well mostly awesome)...
Saw 2 black New Beetles along Toorak Rd, and received smiles from them so I smiled back 🙂 .... then I saw a greeny-coloured Kombi. I smiled at the old dude driving it, he looked at me and my car so I waved (still smiling, was a nice clean Kombi!) and he just looked away! 🥲 Hope it was no one on here... anyway, not long after this I saw another black New Beetle, and I got a smile and a nod for my car! What is the deal with old veedub drivers when the Newies are more friendly towards old Dubs??
Anyway, on the way to my bf's place I saw ANOTHER black New Beetle, but this one was a Cabrio with the roof off, very cruisy.... 😉 .... then I saw an old white Beetle parked on the side of the road. Needed some TLC! In traffic on Princes Highway a very swish-looking pale lemon New Beetle Cabrio drove past a few lanes over, and then I saw another old white Beetle! 🙂
On the home from my bf's place, there was yet ANOTHER old White Beetle! It was a convertible with P-plates on Lindsay St in Murrumbeena. And yep, you guessed it, then I saw another New Beetle on North Road..... in black..... LOL
Those New Beetles were out in force today!! 😂 It was nice to get smiles and nods from them.... not like that so-and-so of a Bay Kombi driver. 🙁

Tehehe, there's a Kombi and a Bug at the end of my street!
In the carpark of Upwey Church (next to the roundabout at the top Main St) there was a very clean looking chocolate brown L Bug with gravel guards.... and in front of that was a pale blue bay Kombi! Anyone's off here? I think the brown Bug was at DOVW for sale? Could be wrong, but haven't seen another one in that colour. 🙂

This morning at 8:30am on my way to work, I saw THE hottest black Squareback parked outside Avanteos on Camberwell Rd!

Hahaha, this morning (cnr Studmuffin Rd and Burwood Hwy) I got beeped at because the lights were green.... I was too busy checking out the greeny-yellow Kombi in the petrol station, your fault SplittyChick! 😉

It's looks like yellowy-green to me. Compare it to a banana and you'll see what I mean! 😉

Got a nice wave from a young chap in his off-white Beetle on Burwood Rd this morning about 8am.... then I saw a BEAUTIFUL silver Porsche 356 again on Burwood Rd.... then as I was turning into Burnley St a little tan P plater Beetle was about 5 cars ahead of me!
Oh, last night I was with my Mum in her blue CR-V, and a pale grey-white Beetle hooned up the mad mile in Upper FTG. It was flying! I noticed he had a green 'Volkswagen Club of Vic' sticker across the back window, and number plate was REX-889. He was stopped at the Mobil getting fuel when we finally caught up. 😁

The past 2 weeks I've been seeing this GORGEOUS looking Type 3 Squareback, glossy black with roofrack and lowered, parked on Camberwell Rd outside Avanteous. Who's is it?? I want to swap cars! 😂 My sister works there, so I'm going to get her on the case of finding who's it is.... mwahahaha!! 😵

Just went to Ringwood and back, saw three Kombis and 3 Beetles! 😂
The best Beetle was in the underground carpark of Eastland, near the JB Hifi entrance. It was ivory coloured and had cute 'lil curtains in the back window, and a sticker saying 'Miss Daisy'... wheels complete with whitewalls, was a very neat looking Dub! 🙂

I spotted Stuy this morning in his Gold Baja around 7:30am at the Mountain Gate intersection, but I wasn't in my Bug so he wouldn't have known it was me! 🥲
Also saw Mandy's yellowy Kombi at the petrol station near Knox again. 👍

Wow... talk about Dubby Tuesday!! 😵
Driving to work this morning I saw my favourite black type 3 wagon, the white Kombi with green flowers painted along the bottom, a pale blue Super Bug and a nice medium blue Bug.....
.... then after work I got waved at by two nice chaps in a super-shiny (freshly painted? no VW badge on front) light orange bay Kombi, it looked sweet as! Also saw two faded orange Beetles, one faded white Beetle, one white Kombi, one dark green Beetle, a royal blue Beetle, a faded orange type 3 Notch, a rusty faded white Fastback, another white Bay Kombi, a pale blue Bug and amongst all that had a mini cruise behind a p-plated cream New Cabrio!! 🤪

Well.... there was this awesome purple/white splitty.... a mean-looking black Golf.... a heap of bay buses.... a stack of splitties.... an awesome grey Type 34.... a magical purple Beetle.... two bugs with logos on the side.... a glittery turquoise Buggy.... about a dozen white Beetles.... :P

Last night as I drove past it cnr Clayton Rd and Bourke Rd in Clayton Sth was a sad little brown Fasty and
it's sad owners getting help from the RACV Man. 🥲 Anyone's off here?
There's also a clean looking dark army-ish green bus with a white roof on Bourke Rd. 🙂
I don't get to see many dubs now since I changed jobs and drive on the M1. It's nice to fly past all those yuppy cars though! 😉
