Um, hello all. Well, I'm new, so it's nice to meet you! Thought I'd take a moment to introduce my lovely old girl too. (really hope I've attached the pic right - I'll try again if it hasn't worked!) She's a very recent purchase and we're still getting to know one another, she's a true lady - very tempremental. She's a 1970 (thought she was a 71 before I bought her, but the VIN tells me otherwise), found on ebay, and has been looked after by her previous owner very well indeed. She has a few custom alterations, which I'm so far unsure about whether or not I should change back to original. I'm very much a novice so no doubt I'll be seeking heaps of advice as I start the process of doing her up (she's a great looker, but I can see her potential to look even more so, interior needs a bit of work). It'll take a while - no doubt as everyone finds, there's a long wish list but it'll take time to fund it! I shall apologise in advance for any ridiculously stupid questions I may end up asking and look forward to getting to know you all. A first one is regarding the heating system - not currently working. She's got a kombi muffler fitted and apparently you can't get the necessary elbows needed to connect the system - is that right? If it's not, does anyone know where to get such a part? And if it is, what's the best option for getting one sorted somehow? It's freezing out here in the middle of the country - can't feel the wheel at night, fingers go numb - need heating... Hope you all like her! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
