We may now get a realistic premier, like one that drives a car instead of limo riding pencil neck wally.

vw54 ·

Well he did do ONE good think approved WSID Yippieeee

amazer ·

The rat is jumping ship because he knows with the hospitals and the public transport system the way they are his time is coming to an end.
I'm about to give him a $249 leaving present though. Geez I hate paying rego.

helbus ·

Try $538 for each car here in Vic. EH, Kombi and Beetle. Plus two motorbikes with the extra $50 TAC levy on top of rego!

amazer ·

that include third party insurance? bob changed it so ours isnt included in the rego price anymore. My CTP is $236. For some reason when I go to www.maa.nsw.gov.au all the quotes I can get from there are way way higher, some over $400.

kaoskombi ·

try being a young driver!
We pay through the nose for insurance and i dont see my slow little vw's getting me in all those high speed collisions that we are blamed for, its amazing that you can't discriminate on age in our society, but if its against the youth of your nation, sure!
They would never allow the insurance policies to be ruled by the sexes, even though that is highly debated, because that would be sexist, but society seems fine in justifying having the youngest members of the driving society paying the highest premiums, when allot of us earn a 1/2 of what older members of society do.
If its supposed to be fair, they could make it based on your driving history, the more tickets + accidents + type of vehical etc.....

hmmm..............

sorry if i have offened anyone, but i happen to love cars and being young and a student means i pay about 1/5 of my yearly wages in insurance + rego, this dosnt even begin to include servicing, petrol or anything else, and i think that it sux.

Bob Carr---one political puppet down,
lets see who is the next!

bus914 ·

i think Bob was more interested in making 10 years in power than Hospitals or Transport or whatever

amazer ·

I think that any politician who fails to complete the full term should be personally liable for the costs of the bi election.

HotRodMatt ·

Bob was an astute manager. His first few years fixed the mess that Fahey made with almost unbelievable progress. His useless cabinet coupled with the pressure of a Federal 'Grub'ernment hell-bent on bringing down the nationwide Labor states made the last years a misery.

His departure also showed political prowess. Not only does he personally benefit by retiring 'in power' but gives his party an opportunity to promote a populist leader and make changes to their policy and performance and be able to blame the recent poor performance on Bob's leadership and promise to do better.

A promise which isn't hard against the feeble coalition.

That said, despite recognising his political nous, all [mis]Representatives who exit mid-term (except for their own health reasons) should have the costs of the election deducted from their overly generous superannuation.

VOTE PEDRO! - HES GOT SKILLS

Robo ·

Yep Im with Matt
Rob...

zjm ·

bobs done such a bad job that every one wants to live in sydney the place is booming
it amazes me that john howard wants to mess with industrial relations in the states yet doesnt want to touch hospitals that are federally funded
as for public transport it takes longer to learn to drive a train than it does to fly a plane

amazer ·

First Bob Carr, then Andrew Refshauge, and now Craig Knowles. Is there a scandal waiting to break????

h ·

so hows your new premier?
dont know that one??
