I know it's been happening for while but it seems that where ever you turn in a UK VW magazine that there are ads about imported Aussie split and bay window Kombis'.
I'm worried all our straight and original splits and bay windows are becoming an endangered species.
I was just reading how a couple in the UK grabbed a straight and original 55 barn door from the Australia. Turns out it happens to be the 2nd oldest barn door ever.
They have great intentions of restoring the split but it's just another great car that won't be seen on the aussie roads and it's sad...
Don't get me wrong I'd rather the car be restored than dumped but I'd still rather them stay in Australia.
Anyone else got any thoughts?
