can anyone help me to indentify what this cable is meant to be... have taken the rear wheels off and found this cable just dangling under the suspension. It is on the left hand side of the car. It looks like it has armouring to protect it and is only one cable which is fairly thick. I hope the pics can help.

another shot of where it disappears. Is it the heater cable?

could be the old manual choke cable? Perhaps someone just moved it out of the way instead of taking the whole thing out?

so for a manual choke it would have to be connected to a pull switch in the dash right?
I know i have 2 switches that appear to do nothing so i guess its possible it is one of those. will have a look at it tomorrow.

the knob should be th one just left of the ignition barrel. The cable should exit from the same passage as the accel cable too..
