Ok - yes I know it's not VW....but things are getting desparate.
Has anyone got a Baby Capsule with 5 point harness that they'd like to sell or loan out for 5-6 months? Also a cot for about the same timeframe? After about 6 months my other little fella should be out of his cot.
I've tried ebay but have been outbidded in the last few minutes, and short of buying new, second hand is the go. Also got a few friends asking around as well, but I thought I'd try here too.

I got a baby capsule/ seat thingy free when I bought my cabrio (NO idea why!?!?!?!). It is still in the box somewhere, will dig it out and get Rod to see if it is what you are after. Can't help with the cot though !!!!

Over here is Perth we have a shop called Baby on a Budget - they do sort of reconditioned baby gear - like 2nd hand, professionally cleaned and all that. Might be an option for you ?
I know what you mean about ebay - I didnt realise there was so much stuff on there until my wife and I had a look last night - the baby stuff trade is booming !

Thanks Doug. Yeah I've been looking at all places on the net for stuff like that.
The bid on Ebay was amazing. The last 5 mins all these people jumped in. With about 3 mins to go I was winning with my bid, and with space to go to my max of $71....then bang, bang, bang, it sold for $92. Crazy.

We are a bit confused..... not being baby people we have no idea what you are after ! It is a Safe n sound Premier Convertible child safety seat. According to the box it is suitable from birth to a child up to 18kg. Rod is taking some pics of it and will post them for you. If it is the one then we just need to figure out how to get it up to you. You can use it for as long as you need and just send it back to us as we hope to maybe be able to use it one day !

Safe n Sound Premier is a good one - not top of the range but a good solid middle of the range (think ~ $320 from what I've seen). Its one of the ones that you can put forwards or rearwards facing. Its actually one of the ones we have narrowed our shopping down to - this one and the Royale, which is the next one up.
Best of luck with the cot - we are lucky enough to be using a 2nd hand one (coincidentally, the cot that my wife was raised in !!! just new mattress.....).

this is a pic of the harness... it has two bits that click in like a seatbelt from the top and all up there are 6 restraints to the seat.

they told us that we got it with the car coz it is the only one suitable for the new cabrio... VW oz didn't want any backlash from people fitting the wrong one into the vehicle and then blaming them... so they gave it to people who bought the car to make sure they would use the correct one.
