I need some Michelin 145's.
Prefer new as possible, but part worn o.k.
I can get 165's o.k. but they scrub.
I can get Nankang 145's too, but not interested.
They MUST be Michelin.
Either 145/15 or 135/15.

thanks.

Cos they're going on a VW, not a Daewoo

vwtyp2 ·

precisely.

I don't think 125's will go too well on 5.5" rims.
As cool as they'd look.

steve-89 ·

daniel, dad got his from affordable tyres in salisbury, next to tonkins audio.

the road is just off park tce.

try them.

goodluck fingers crossed

It`s all about the "Label" man.
I mean you wouldn`t find a "Real" Surfer wearing Piping Hot.

dragbug ·

I thought "Hang Ten" was the go Gra...

vwtyp2 ·

they're getting fitted as we speak.

running Michelins on the front is like having 205/70's on the back.
It's just the way it's done.

Mr Bubble Head ·

sure michelin written on the side looks better than nankang, I understand your going for a cal look but nankang are the better tyre tread wise and by design.:P

Care to explain? 🙂

Mr Bubble Head ·

Michos older technology tyre with tread to suit
Nankangs newer tecnology tyre slightly softer compound but harder wearing with better tread pattern. But what do I know Hey?

dragbug ·

I do use both...
The michi's are the go if you want to capture the "look" tho.

I'm running the 135 Kanga's on the front of mine with a 4" narrow beam.
Can poke it quite fast into corners still with no skipping.

I'm happy with em.

Still do respect a person for wanting to stay true to form in the sense of originalty tho.

vwtyp2 ·

There's a reason that Michelin don't make the zx and xzx tread pattern anymore.
That technology has been superseded.
I wasn't after a performance tyre, I was after "the look"
xzx's is what was used back in the day, so that's what I wanted.
It'd be kinda like putting on a momo gear knob instead of having the Berg.
Although we all know a Berg is the best.
