Leaded fuel for sale at Colyton (St Marys)

Just got some Leaded fuel at the pump. I was surprised to see it so I asked the attendant if it was the old fashioned type and he said it was . I thought it was outlawed. Anyway the car seems to have an extra kick. Im not sure if it is my imagination . If anyone else wants to check it out and report back here it was the Ampol westbound on the great western highway at Colyton (Western Sydney).

An extra kick? Nice, I noticed that when I used leaded for the first time in a while when they still sold it up here. You never know...

There has not been any leaded fuel available from/for roadside servos for some years now dude.
The attendant is either a liar or doesnt know shit. Id suggest the former.

What you are seeing is an old leaded fuel pump that has not had the sticker taken off and just LRP fuel in there which is not a lot more than plain old PULP with some additives that are supposed to work like the old TEL (tetra ethyl lead)

it seems like its the old leaded to me.

what colour is the fuel...also check for that old red dust colour in your exhaust pipeafter runing it for a while.

I thought it would be illegal to sell true leaded??

Cmon mate, unless the servo is cracking his own fuel and blending TEL into it himself then, nope, its olde fashoined LRP. And even that is being made redundant now.
Leaded fule has bee outlawed for quite some years now.
