Triumph Herald Coupe C1960 body, with Beetle pan & some of beetle front panel

ruckus ·

Wow you see some interesting cars in Geelong. I can remember seeing one of those crazy old cars with wood on the side every now and then... 🤓

kroozzn63 ·

is it one of those freqqy 60 s australian sports car kits an ascot or something?

kombikim ·

no, it is just a one off with a Triumph Herald Coupe body on a beetle pan, this was easy to do as the Herald was also built onto a chassis & also had swing axle rear suspension (transverse leaf) but had coil & wishbone front suspension, you can see the VW torsion bar suspension under the front. The triumph had a one peice tilt forward front, & the beetle front panels have been grafted to this

Where abouts did youi find that?

CAFFINEPUSHERMAN ·

Busted already. He wanted me to draw that one out for a while but I see he has whimped out. Can't wait to see your beast around G-town.

Thats kinda cool. Has the makings of a half decent looking ride I think. Looks like a bit of care and thought has gone into the front panels.

Come on someone buy it and get it back on the road. Everythings for sale, just takes the right number. 😏
