i just returned to the fair weather of Brisbane after a few days running around Melbourne ,went to the snow and into the city ---same bloody temperature ,,how the hell do you survive ?? the wind goes straight thru you even with a coat on, damn its cold

Today we had rain in the morning, then not a cloud in the sky by lunchtime.... then a bit more rain this afternoon, a spattering of hail tonight...... :P

You do get used to it and then when it heats up its a real bother.
Nice thing about tasmania is it rarely get really hot. Unlike melb that can see some real extremes in summer but i do agree that the cold in melbourne is really bitter.

the first time i was in melbourne, i had just spent a week in the south australian desert, 3 days in the barrossa valley... it was december. beautiful weather all round until... we got into melbourne.
10 degrees, rainy windy and FREEZING!!! in december...
isnt 10 degrees illegal in december? if it isnt, it should be!

Melbourne is the only place I know where it can go from 28 degrees, to 35 degrees, to 15 or less.... in summer!! Gotta love it! 😂

Sounds like Canberra. Snow last week, T-shirts on the weekend, Rain on Monday morning, perfect today.
We have the cold lazy wind as well. It's too lazy to go around it just goes straight through you.

I went to Moto GP at Phillip Island a couple of years ago (mid october), it was shorts and no shirts on friday & saturday and come race day sunday it was pissing down ,blowing a gale and absolutely freezing. i couldnt believe it.
