Air con. for your VW. Price reduced to $120

I have come accross another one of these cool units (pardon the pun). This one is an extra wide facia model with the same compact blower assembly as the others. Very easy to hook up with the clamp type fittings and incorporated wiring.

Tested and working perfectly, and very quiet. (The patchyness on top is moisture from where I wiped the dust off it)

Was $150, now $120 and I can ship it to Brisbane depot (Nudgee area) free, or economically via Aussie Post. It will be properly packed to keep it safe, as these are pretty rare now.

If I can't sell it here, I'll eBay it, so jump in if you want air conditioning...

Hi Steve, can you post the dimensions of this unit for me please. Lenght , Width and Hieght.

Widest across front is 550mm, across main body is 380, height is 140, between mounting holes in brackets is 440 but the bracket can be spun around to face inwards. This unit could be mounted under the dash quite easily and will give you a nice wide dispersion of cold air.

Those old underdash units run on old R12 gas (gone) but probably can be changed to the later gas R?? (cant remember the number)

You will need a compressor, a bracket, double pulley for the crank, a good sized condensor and electric fan, hoses and etcetera to connect the entire shebang up and a new reciever/dryer.

Its a big job and goin to cost ya M8.
