I know this info is in the upcoming events section but there hasn't been much talk of the show on the forum yet. I have no affiliation with the VW drivers club, but want to get the word out as the more vws at the show the better!

I've been following the Beetle resto with much interest. Keen to see it in the flesh and book in a photoshoot.
I always use the VWDCQinc Action Day as another excellent opportunity to add to the story folder, either for feature cars, technical innovations or good VW stories.

I believe flyers have been handed out since Dubs by the Pubs. so promo has been going on for a long time.
This year there are a few new additions and also the Audi Club Queensland will be involved and part of the show. So will be a good mix of old to new water cooled stuff.

Can't wait - have to find time to readjust the left rear suspension down to match the right (about 13mm too high) on the beetle, also give it another cut and polish and wax (time permitting). Oil needs changing plus valve adjustment but other than that should be sweet!

Got the alloy to polish up and change the headlight rims over to chrome ones - think I feel a dose of industrial diarrhoea coming on and may be sick before the weeks end:P

I almost succumbed to a similar fate. I finished reindexing the left rear susp last night and adjusted the valves....forgot I didn't have new valve cover cork gaskets so cleaned and reused existing ones (only had about 3 hours use). Must have pinched the left side when I put it back on because when I took it for a spin there was smoke pouring out when I pulled in the driveway.
Oil was leaking onto the extractors (luckily not fuel) - now they have a nice stain (will try and clean them up). Fortunately mickmotors could courier out some new gaskets today along with sump plate gasket so I can get it sorted tonight!
Something strange still going on with the steering so have to look closer at that (again). But I'll be there 馃檮

Always a good one this show! looked at some wonderful cars, had a great drive up in the Oval, (saw a nice black turbo nb on the way up) picked up some more factory tools, and met up with some great VW buddy's. What more can you get out of life.
