I'm looking for a more 'retro' green. I think that there's also Arden Green? I was looking at a Ghia site, but the paint chips were not as good as these. Yeah the colour schemes are defo the right names, saw them on the scans. Hassle is the local paint shop can't seem to match any VW colour like 'Dove Blue', to a current colour, so started to think that AU colours are different to US and EUROs. Thanks for the chip Dave, looks pretty close, give it another go at Auto West.....see if that's in the damn book.

Yes dont usethe names of colours from Overseas sites as they DONT match the colour names we had in Aussie, althought the actual colours may be the same the name has been changed to reflect local conditions
EG Manly Tan and Coral red

I got Mango Green from the local paint shop. Might still have 1lt of it somewhere.
I was going to do the splitty in it but it looked too new so went for a toned down version in the end.
That top picture does look like Mango Green. I had an aussie 1971 delux bay window in original Mango Green

if you find the tin, I'll buy it off ya, hit a decklid with it. Piant always comes out darker on large areas ay.
Will give that paint shop a call - there only seems to be one guy at Auto West that knows his stuff, the rest all follow him around and ask questions...
If anyones got digital paint chip files, I'd be more than happy to html 'em and post em for all to use. It's a major pain.....

My beetle is 1960 mango green original colour. The sticker under the spare wheel says the colour is made by Berger in Australia

This is my mates splitty in the Uk which is also Mango Green from the states so colour does vary quite a bit
thanks Mr Pod. That's a tick link ay. Jacsk, that is the colour I'm after I think, looks very period, Mr Green bus owns the territory in Retina bruning green.....was getting really confused over colours, as Roy's mates is how some of the pics I've found have been comming up, and that's more beige than green to me.
But then the Iceland Green looks nice too ... aaahhhhhhhh. Much easier to Photochop than choose. But then the clocks ticking and gonna paint the sucker week after next....then loose less sleep......
Thanks one and all for your links, pics and input.
