It was good to meet you Steve and everyone else there too.
We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend apart from a dodgy chinese meal on the first night (well thats what I blame)

was a great weekend all round!! pity about the crappy whether on sunday but the cruise was fun!!! i got about 10 minutes of footage from the cruise etc i will put up ASAP definately mark this one down for 2007 things can only get better!!

What a great weekend!
Got to meet redbus who made a big effort and drove all the way from Melbourne and I don't think he was at all disappointed. Thanks to Ray for the 20 kg of Prawns. Went well with those beers. Hey Dave we drank beer and ate prawns for three afternoons without ya!
Great weekend away with great people, just talking volkswagens and having fun. And didn't have to spend my whole weekend forking out money! Can't wait for next time.

the 21 is original paint no repairs done i asked the owner &
he hasnt done anything to it you would be hard up to find
any rust excellent condition.
the 11 is a 62 & low so low & a credit to the owner it is a beaut
colour & another in excellent condition.

good collection of bays type3's a nice karman , jeta ,variant & kubel i think &

The person on Franks lap is a forum member, I wonder if she will say who she is? Frank for those who dont know is a swap meet tragic, this is one of his bugs.
I would like to thank all the people who attended, we were a small, but very happy and friendly lot, who now can say they were at the 1st Sawtell, it was good to put faces to Aussie Veedubbers in fact without this forum it would have been hard to let people know about it, also thanks to Ray & Rhys the locals who did all the hard work and Club Veedub for underwriting the event. Looks like it will be on again in 2007, we will sort out dates soon so it doesnt clash with other events.
A lot people at the Winter Break have booked their accommodation at the Sawtell site for next years Valla show, its only 1/2 hour up the road, the rooms are great and most even have car ports with ocean views.

we are chasing up NBN for the footage they got along with photos the Advocate newspaper got from sunday (my bro was in today's posing with his beetle) but i know the photographer and he got heaps!!

about 3 minutes worth more than the previous on the hotrods
down south from us, i will be back there thursday week to see
ed kuepper at the rsl love eds music.
glad to every one home safe its been a month up here for road
fatalities yet another today at woolgoolga a merc versus a semi
in a 60 zone head on man how can that happen.

Glad you liked the photos. Were you camping down the coast as well, would have been interesting. The Chinese at the bowlo was OK, but the sweet and sour chicken looked radioactive.
