I bought a Kombi two weeks ago to use as a daily driver (it feels wrong to drive a toyota but its cruel to let a vw sit in a shopping centre car park all day) anyhoo I took off today in the toyota to go look at a potental new engine for the kombi and the barstard shit its self in the main street. Never had a problem in 5 years and as soon as it looks to be replaced it goes and dies.... then I almost died when i got a quote for a new coil... $110, just to get it by one month till the kombi is ready.:crynn[ Edited on 1-9-2005 by Mad Manx ]

My Rosey (toyota) sees me working on Edith (VW)...next day...boom! hoses split, towies called...trip home on the back...
Replaced all the hoses...but...worked on Edith (VW) again, so wondering what Rosey will do next??
Rosey killed over 5 times in about 3 weeks on me....ARGH!!
I tried telling her (Rosey) she is still special too me, that I plan to fix her up and make her a convert camper.....as in she can carry ppl or camp....but she just wont listen....she just wants to carry ppl (stubborn van) ....
BUT the good point (well kinda) Im moving house in 2 weeks, so too busy packing to finish ediths work....which means rosey should stop having sulks with me for a little while...

Well its always a possiblity?.... At least with my vw's its always a cheap fix, my toyota always seems to cost a fortune to fix, perhaps I should stop driving it like I stole it 🤘

When we rebuilt our 64 baja we took it down to the shack and put her in the shed with the 63 deluxe. I drive the 63 around more than the baja and now the baja ain't working. We've owned the motor for 13years and noe we are having problemd with it all the time. Is the baja jelousof the 63????
