Just a quick note, went to see a 1990 T3 for sale at Wayne Elvin at Windsor - nice guy btw - had lots of late T4s for sale, seems to specialise in white vans - but nice examples in T4s.

The T3 looked nice, but felt that it had had a rather big hit in the rear recently, and had been fixed, and a couple of front suspensions twangs and growns put me off a bit. Shame as the interior and ducted air was nice.

But as far as a 90 bus goes, not bad, but the re-paint and repairs we're a bit off putting at $10k.

Lots of new bits in the back end, like a new exhaust, so kinda 'smelt' like it was a car with a recent hit, that had been left a while, ran out of rego, sat about, and then repaired for sale or trade in. Sliding Door didn't want to stay open....looked like passenger rear corner had had some major work in the past.....

Just in case others had seen it on the TP, thought I'd give me personal opinion of what I 'thought' which may in fact be complete tosh, as I'm no expert on T3s. Just didn't 'feel' 10k if you know what I mean.

Still will keep eye out for his ads, as his T4s looked great Value, and we either want a GREAT T3 or a T4 Caravelle 2.5.....anyone???

keep looking

T3's (or 2.5s) are GREAT - so COMFY

"IF" i was going to do a suby conversion i reckon an auto air cooled would be the go!

For that money i would want the last water cooled - the one with the body coloured wrap round bumpers.

Find one privatelt that has had some one look after it and know about coolant

Money is not the 'issue', happy to pay top dollar for top car, but want an auto which limits choices, and really want solid colour not a 2 tone (wife is taste police and issues some 'terms'). Defo want late as poss water pumper, and would rather have a u-bute T3(2.5, Vanagon, Wedge), than a run of the mill T4.....but the way it's going, looks like T4s with low ks are about as hard to get as a great T3...hassle is there's only so much $$$ to go round, so if I go and blow money on a late V6er, then will leave no $$$ for the splitters.....gggrrrr....which I was rich.

You should be luckier as the LAST T3's were single colour.

Not the early beige and chocolate or light lime and ever green :alien

Anyway...round Drummoyne there is a stock Caravelle 1992(?) in deep blue with the colour coded bumpers that wrap round and it is SCHMICK!!!

Just wait - one will come.

Reckon you will have better luck on Parramatta Rd.
You see a few there.
