I would take your car to an Auto electrician and have the generator out put checked and the battery condition checked as well.

Another thought have you cleaned n lightly greased the battery terminals to ensure good contact also the earth strap where it attaches to the body work remove paint n rust ...
Check to see if you havea earth strap between the gearbox and the chassis and clean as well
Also do the same to the main terminal on the starter and fit the lead between to large washer and lubricate slightly to get a better surface contact
