... just had my engine rebuilt about 12000 miles ago and it is now blowing small amounts of blue smoke, so there fore i need to get it rebuilt again and ia am not wanting to go to the same place again due to the poor work they did. Its a 1600cc singleport type 3 engine. Was going to look for some more power........
could someone recommend a engine combo that would give me about 80-90hp without having to stroke the engine and a place that would be about to rebuild this for me?? was thinking about 1916cc??some 34ICTs ported heads etc... but not sure on what really to go for..

Deeter at Volkspeed in Bayswater. He's a great guy and knows he's VW's back to front. He builds a lot of engines and does a great job.

That's a decent chunk of horsepower you're after. Is there a type4 conversion kit that fits the type3? Just trying to think of a ethod that won't overstress your engine is all.

Volkspeed number is #9729 1308. The guys name is Dieter and he's a quiet, but really nice German guy.
