Does anyone have any detailed pics of how to mount early popout windows into a beetle?
I need to know how the hinge mounts to the body?
any help would be appreciated

How to fit popouts in Beetle?

the bracket that mounts to the frame has 5 holes
the retaining plate goes closest to the frame
this leaves a " U" shaped frame. this is what slides over the window frame on car
have a friend place the popout in the space left by your old window (be sure to have the bracket over the edge)
mark the 5 holes to be drilled through the frame. Then drill (5mm i think)
remount the pop-out the 1st 3rd & 5th hole hold the bracket to the car
the 2nd & 4th holes hold the bracket cover.
after this is all fitted up, have your friend press hard up against the window with the rear brackets attached and mark the 3 rear mount holes.
then your done. good luck.
