As some of you might know, my 74 L Superbug is in the panel shop right now ready to be painted candy apple pink. I want to put the chrome body molding back on, but wanted to know if there are any variations i can put on instead other than the original?

The 74L is different from the others
there is a piece that goes just in front of the door that covers the seam near the hood.
Does that make sense??
If you look in VWMA about 2 issues ago Nitric Acid has filled that piece in and just has the trim

I still have my original ones off my bug Karmen, but wasnt sure if there were any alternatives at all, maybe something different? What can you suggest?

you can replace the late model thin strips with the older style thicker ones. i did this on my 71 superbug. there is a little stuffing around involved with changing the bonnet strip, and the two front sides, but the rest fit easily with slightly bigger holes drilled馃檪`

ill get a pic of full side tomorrow, i have cut the bonnet piece but have not attsched it yet. just painted the bonnet not long ago
