Get the paint ( black ) and stick a spot of 2 on the inside of the rim to see if it flares or ???
You will have to scuff the ribs and center section with some wet n dry for teh paint to stick.
I intend on doing the same thing with my Sprintstars as well.
How bright is the silver do you have a pic ???

Yeah have been told that I have to scuff the powdercoating to ensure the paint will stick - this is why I want to do a test run as it won't be that easy to avoid scuffing areas that need to stay silver.grey.
The silver isn't that bright - more of a grey. Check out the image....
