Just thought I would share with everyone our progress on my 1968 bug, Daphine. It has been a long journey since March but has been well worth all of the effort and work involved. So sit back and have a gander at my beautiful Daphine being reborn 馃檪

After many months of hard work to have the body perfect, the car 100% rust free, everything sanded back to bare metal ect. it was TIME to PRIME!

the wheels in the picture were 5 stud? i think... yours look like they are 4 stud? possibly with original pcd? love the wheels! would be good if you can get them to suit beetles as is with no modifications?

We are so close now I can feel it!
With the wheels we had to buy new rotors and have them redrilled at custom off road to suit the stud pattern of the wheel we wanted to buy. I chose a 4 stud pattern, 114.3, which can also fit on a nissan 馃檪

Sweet - amazing what a difference a set of wheels can make to a car. You must have a great feeling of satisfaction with the progress but it will be that much sweeter for that first drive!

We started in mid march so it's take quite a few months! Can't wait to get her on the road and hopefully she will be even closer this weekend. Man it sucks having to work, and not having the time to do these things!

Yes we have done basically everything ourselves. And in the interior, Kev is doing hoodlining, carpet, fitting the new seats and he also modified the dash ect.

Thanx, apart from the backside sitting high up. The front beam has an adjustable front and I think I might have to get the bum lowered.
