1- stripped back the bonnet and found hail damage:o
most will file out but thw wookie will sort the rest out
2- work on the bonnet begins, im just holding the cats tail here.

Deon, all I can say is; "enjoy"
And couple of tips, if you think you need to take a little longer on something to get it right then you might as well.
Most importantly, make sure you have some shiny things on it when you finish..

Bizarre, I was thinking the same thing. Nothing worse than crusty little paint edges around the windows.
Maybe they dont want to pull the interior, but they could always just mask the windows up to save the headliner.

hahaa nah im not going to tell you to jump we are popping the windows soon just hadnt got round to that yet, there is a trade qualified panel beater showing me the way, iit is his shed and he has other jobs so i share the shed witch means that i have to move the bug into another shed where there is birds and they would have nested in there if i had taken the windows out earlyer
i hope that clears that up fweeeeeew
oh yeah and i got new seals and other windows going in

the wooky finished the bonnet and i epoxy primed it was my first time was happy with results. we will high fill prime later but this will stop surface rust for now

the nose is cut off mine but the prob is that the bottom of the bonnet is flat and the nose cone is rounded ,there is a 2 inch gap in the centre no matter where you tilt or turn the nose ,,,,,,i tried for about 2 hours but to no avail ,,,but the other nose he gave me that is nearly stuffed fits ,it will just have to be fixed and cleaned up,,,,im not worried ill work somethin out ,id'e say risky didn't know either ,,,,,,if you look at the nose cone and bonnet on the car on that website you gave me the nose cone is identical ,but the bonnet is a cheetah style bonnet ,,,,,,,

well a bit more done
windows are in, wheels are off to get painted, also the bonet had to get fixed, a little defect in the paint. put the tail lights in and rear bumper today, thats me mate macca lending a hand to get the bumper, would have been interesting on my own.😵💫

put the rear venitian in, realined engine lid and put handle on, put all the drivers door windows and rubers in, put the front bumper and lights on.

its too low though get a few people in there and the front tyres scrub on corners and spring plates bash on bumps

before u jack it up maybe think about running smaller tires (145 or 135) up front and notching the spring plates abit.
