Dannyboy ·

Well i've found out that finally my sister and brother are coming out to visit from the UK as are some other family and friends as from early next year. For many years i have wanted to travel around Oz and many times talked to my family about us doing it in a Kombi and cruise the East coast and beyond on their visits. I have wanted to travel myself since being here 6 years so enough is enough and i'm going to take a 4 month trip next year.I'm doing it in style hopefully and am now on the look out for a nice late 60's /early 70's camper and a bloody nice one to boot!! The square unfortunatly has go so see sellers forum for details. Although very , very sad to see the square go i'm looking so forward to hitting the road for over 4 months and unlimited w'ends away with family in tow! Just got to find a Kombi now!!

Finally another dream hopefully coming true!

G'day Dan,
GO FOR IT MATE!!!! This is an unreal country we have here!! Specially the Outback.
A nice '72 Bay is the go, low front indicators, early bumpers (Great look), disc brakes, PCD112 wheels and type4 engine bay for a 2lt on an 1600 gearbox, a set of 15x6.5 Merc wheels with 215/75 All Terrain tyres and you can pretty much go anywhere in this great vast land.
The above description is what I would have next to the Desert Splitty.
Enjoy the hunt.
Cheers, Ian.

Dannyboy said he wanted to explore the East Coast and beyond, not sure he was thinking 4,500ks beyond!!! out in the top of the Great Sandy Desert WA!!.
Seriously though, Wolfe Creek is worth a visit, I used to live 60ks from there and went in a couple of times in the Desert Splitty, roughest corugated raod I've ever been on.

Cheers, Ian.
