Does a/body know where I could get one of those Rubber protectors that sit in the cupped area for trolley Jacks to protect the pan when raising the car? ❓

I've seen them before, don't know the exact name! 🤪

Been to Auto Pro & Super Cheap, nothin! 🙅

Thanks C.

I believe they're called "Jack Pads"!

A piece of plywood works a treat!

Craig Paton ·

Yeh been using that with rags for years.

Want something better for "MY PRecious"!!😘

Old Dubber ·

What size would you be after?
I have some red neoprene block which may do the job

Craig Paton ·

Hey Grahame

It needsd to be roughly 128mm in diameter and the debth varies because of the internal cone shape.

Thanks Craig

Craig!!!!!!!!!!!! Does this mean your car is going to see the light of day soon! ( new motor did santa drop it off ) Pics would be nice ( i don't believe it ) My jack pad I made from solid rubber (12mm) then I die grinded small holes for the jack crown ( 5mm deep ).Rubber from Clark's Rubber. Very cheap.

next time you're driving down the highway and on the side of the road, you see the tread that has been thrown from a punctured truck tyre, stop and pick it up, take it home and cut off a bit to suit your jack...
done and ..........done...

Shouldn't be to far away though. My car saw the light of day twice this year, had 2 washes and polishes!!!!!! :o

I would still like to buy one of those Jack pads.. they're so prurdy!

Volkswagenboy ·

I wouldn't mind one! I was given a chrome racing jack for xmas, it'd go perfect with a jackpad!
