As Fleurs Beetle was written off, we really want to get a replacement in the near future.
So if someone has to unfortunatley sell theirs due to family or money committment, we can help.
It must be in a condition that requires no work to be done on it. RWC or rego not required. If it has rego, you can cash it in.
It must be a 1969 onwards standard Beetle, manual with good body, interior, motor and box. Tyres not so important.
Doesn't have to be now, we can wait a little while. Just if you hear around the traps, this could be the quick sale someone needs.

He He, I would be in big trouble if I asked if the cute girl came with the car.
Yeah honestly if anyone comes across one, it is always good to get first dibs if possible. Unfortunaly she probably wont end up with one the same colour as her tattoo.
She would consider an early beetle up to 67, but it would have to be in a condition that requires no work at all to be done to it, and already converted to 12V and be in RWC

Yeah I saw Helbus at the VW day show at Yarra Glen. Got photos too of the thing. Looks pretty good- but not half as good as the titanium Karmen Ghia it was parked next too 🙂

there was a beauty parked out the front of the dealer on the corner of canterbury and dorset, looked stunning in ruby red as i drove past, cant remember the age though it was probably 67 or earlier

I think Fleur may have hit her head, she wants this one
We just happened to be driving past a car yard today and had a quick look at a Maroon coloured 70 Semiauto. It was in pretty good nick, but as always, from a car yard it is not the most economical way to get a car. We looked at it for about 10 minutes and left.
The first thing Fleur said to me was "I miss my car"
I said "We will get you anotherone it's ok."
She stamped her foot and said "But I want one like mine. I want a loved one"
She then said "I don't want one from a car yard! I want one that was loved and someone who really actually cares for their car"
She was upset that the owner of the beetle left it as a trade in on a BMW from the yard. She certainly did not like it when the salesman said "We can make a deal, the owner just wants it out of his yard"
Ooooh, I thought when he said that, them's not the right words to be saying to Fleur right now.
Anyway we go on Saturday to check out a real loved Beetle.

Awww Fleurs comments make me feel so sad, but its true isnt it? I could never trade Mildred in, and leave her in a car yard. Its like leaving your 1st born on the steps of a 2nd hand store?
