Hey everyone
I haven’t used Aussie Vee Dubbers in a while and today I bought a factory convertible 1969. It’s all original and has been garaged 4 17 years. it is still licensed and completely original. It hadn’t been started in a while but fired up after a couple of kicks.
1 problem the door has a bit of rust at the bottom. And I was thinking of replacing the left door.
What’s the availability of a door for a factory convertible?

Congratulations on a good car to buy!
As for the door - i would repair what is there. Will be a lot easier than trying to score a vert door here in Australia.
Only other thing is to get one imported from the states
At least you will have a spare then

yehh i think ill just see if i can get it repaired.
other that that teh car is imaculate only paid 1000 bux so im very lucky. its automatic aswell

but for $1,000 i doubt it is a genuine factory cab.
Hey, What ever happened to your 58 beetle?.
The one you spent $8 or $9,000 on the candy apple red paint job at the panel beeters.

im just curious because last time i talked to you on msn you seemed intent on saying that vw's are girls cars, cant go fast and that a convertible silvia is better no matter what?

i sold the kady bug and i was starting a new 58 but then i bought the convertable and i decided to giv up the 58 to finish the convertable .... it is a factory convertable i will take pictures tonight when i pick it up.
anthony i didnt say vws were girls cars i said that the 58 was to slow. thers a differance. (girls car) (the 58 was to slow) can you see the diferance.

if you say so lucas...im not gonna pursue this point..if i REALLY wanted..i still got the logs of what was said..but...it doesnt really matter...good to see your back into the v-dubs...how it should be 🙂
