Back! Considering a aircooled ride (again?)

hey guyz n girls,

use to drive a 59 retro cal bug, was sold a while back... looking into a second car these days perhaps ?
should I continue the aircool ? just love dubs...

Pick up a half decent and reliable post 1968 Beetle for $2000-$3000. Make a perfect second car.

thats what I was thinking, but u think its possible ?
around $2000 - 3000 ?
well something with no rust so I can register?

around that price range will help me with a set of decent rims and perhaps an over coat of paint...?

Welcome back! Hope you find another wicked Beetle, your old one was awesome!
I saw a great Bug (think it was between 68-71) for sale the other day, was $4200 though.

We picked up our 1 owner 1971 superbeetle for $3300. registered. New tyres. No rust at all whatsoever and pretty close to all original. Original rubber mats, rubbers, front windscreen, mechanicals, interior. Even most of the paint is original except the corners of the fenders.

Mechanically all we have had to do is brake pads and shoes.

It just takes a bit of time and patience. We had to look at about 10 before we found the one we wanted.

oh! have to add more into my little wish list, after a 60s (pre '68)

want to do up the apparance, paint coat, rims, and slammmmmm :P

From what I could see when we were looking, add another $1000 if you wanna go early beetle. Usually between $4000-$6000 for a decent one. :cry
