stick to them as they were implemented to make it safer

Well, being in QLD, u don't get ur car inspected everytime u go for rego. So u could get away with a few 'non' noticable things that can only be seen with a good thorough look.

HOWEVER, do realise. I have seen many get people stuffed before for adr breeches. The police do check vehicles over, especially ones that don't look original (even ones with fancy non original paint work). There have been times where u see inspection crews parked, having a ball and a good laugh and great time as the police give out heaps of tickets on non-ADR compliant modded cars.

The ADRs are built for ur safety, and if u wanna cut up a tight ass cop who is looking to bust u, follow em right and strictly and u will. (I'm not saying all cops are like that, but the ones at the inspection i saw before were sadistic). Or otherwise, get ur car roadworthy and following to design rules, then once u register it, mod it. I'm sure ur insurance company woudl wanna know the mods too, and they will probably ask and pick it up that it may not comply and so may refuse to insure u cause its not as 'safe' (cause or the ADR breeches). IF u don't tell em, and the insurance picks it up, if u crash it, and the insurance company inspects the vehicle, and see it, and know they haven't been informed of the mod, they can refuse to insure ur car.

ALot of probs can come. Follow the rules and u got no probs, otherwise, bend em to a small extent, but expect consequences.
