Was at work on Wednesday and was chatting with a mate when i mentioned that i remembered he had a nice road bike.
With in 30sec of mentioning this he had offered it to me for a rediculous price of $150.
Needless to say i jumped at this, as i know that when this bike was new it cost around the $2500 - $3000 mark.
I am so stoked as i have been saving for a new road bike for a while and this has saved me around $1450.
Now i have more cash to spend on the bug.

ps: Yes, OK its true! I'm a closet cyclist. Ive done the Sydney - Gong 4 times and the Green Valley twin and several others. Look forward to seeing your news trim svelt figure after your new exercise kick.

It is running shimano 600.
The equivalent to Tiagra now (its an old bike)
They guy i bought it off kept it in his room from new.
Not a scratch on it, only a fine layer of dust.
I have since swaped the "profile" bull horn bars for some traditional style "mivac" ones.
And yes i to have always wanted a softride, ever since i started tri-athlons in the mid 90's.
Back then that was the bike to have. But one of those funky full carbon ones.

Lee,
How are you going to fit your skirt guard on that bike, I don't think it will look right, looks better on your old bike,

Muzza72 ·
500 with the training wheels was 4000 when i bought it has done 8 ironman triathlons and a lot of training but still is a great bike

Still gotta get me a cool dragster.
My bro took a welder to a couple of old bmx's and produced a cool harleyesk dragster.
though going up hill was never an option.
