VW Transporter 2.5Tdi

Hi all, I'm the amazer aka amazeer. You might remember me from previous episodes of "I'm Going To Buy A..." Epsiodes that discussed polo's, golfs, liberties, lancers. In this episode, we will discuss the T4 turbo diesel.

I'm not rich enough for a caravelle. So looking at a transporter atm. All the previous episodes fail to deal with all the requirements of:

A: power steer
B: air con
C: driving like a poofy modern car
D: luggage space
E: towing capacity
F: not get me thrown out of the VW clique

Now the transporter is likely to be a compromise to fill all requirements.
So its latest on my shopping list.

I had quite a few of the T4 petrol engines for my business.

I tried 4 2l & 5 of the 2.5 five bangers. Loved the 5cyl, Drove better than a lot of passenger cars and towed my beetle very well!

A friend had the Turbo 2.5 diesel, terrific fuel economy and had heaps of torque. Blew me away up any hill.

Can't go wrong if you get a good one! It'll do anything you require.
