I have recieved several emails making me aware i have new U2U's, but when i got to my inbox, they arent there?
Can this please be rectified A.S.A.P as im not the only one experiencing this problem and it is making using AVD extremely frustrating now?

I've just checked my email, and I have two u2u's as well, but when I checked here there's none?? I need to get them!

As far as I know, a new update was applied recently. This may be causing problems.

It was handy having the area at the top right of the page saying if there were new ones... why is it gone?

Hello Ashleigh. If you have not yet got my U2U to you. I'll do it here .
I suggest that you go onto www.meyersmanx.com and look at the new Dual Sport version of the Manxter. It has a Subaru engine and the radiator is in the whale tail. Your car has a whale tail so, if you can fit a radiator in there it may solve your, "Where am I going to fit the radiator?" problem. Richard aka shaihulud.

Pretty_Blue_Bug, the U2U notification that you get at the top of the screen still appears there... it just appears slightly lower (beneath the panel that says "Logged in as Pretty_Blue_Bug - [ Log Out - U2U ]" blah blah.
As for the emails that you are receiving, Andrew tells me that a mail problem that we were having has been fixed in the latest update. I'm under the impression that this problem prevented you from receiving an email if you got a new U2U (previously) but now that the mail problem is fixed, you are getting emails for U2U's that you received awhile ago. Am I making sense??
Anyway, you can just ignore those emails.

That doesnt make sense as im recieving emails for U2U's that have been recieved recently, like Shaihuluds above? So they are new ones that i cant read, and considering i am trying to sell something in the parts for sale section via U2U, makes this impossible, as im not recieving anything?

Me too Miss_Vdub! I've always received the emails notifying of a u2u, and when I check AVD it is there. But this week I've had three emails and there are no u2u's here. 😢
Dodge, this is the only thing at the top right of my screen, just one line saying: Logged in as Pretty_Blue_Bug - [ Log Out - U2U - UserCP ]... so if I have a new u2u will it say so under this little line? There used to be another 4 lines above that little one that disappeared a week ago (I'm assuming when the update was done). I know I'd have received u2u's as I am after a part for my bf's car, finding out about shipping an item, and have also queried something else.

Okay Admins, I received an email today at 2:30am saying I have received a u2u.... yet there is nothing new in my inbox and nothing saying I have a new u2u at the top of the forum screen.
Why are we getting these emails when there isn't a u2u? I've expected to hear from a couple of people on here about Beetle parts, so it's all a bit frustrating. 🙁

The quick answer to this is that our server has been through some troubles recently, and I updated and rebooted the server about a week ago, and plus our hoster changed the SMTP configuration so our e-mail pops out on another server less likely to be blacklisted. These changes let a few queued e-mails get through. I'm reasonably certain that all these are now gone.
However, if you subscribe to threads, try to get U2U e-mail notifications or similar may still not work for you if your ISP or free e-mail hoster (Hotmail seems to be the worst), your chances of getting e-mail from us are essentially nil. I'm working on some solutions, but I am not optimistic.

Sorry, Pretty_Blue_Bug and Miss_VDUB, I've been away for a few days, so I haven't been around to answer your questions. Sorry!!
As I'm not sure how to fix this U2U problem for you (Andrew's onto it, obviously) the only suggestion I can make is.... if you have something for sale or are wanting to buy something, contact people through email instead of U2U. If you include your email address in your profile, people wanting to buy/sell to you will be able to do it that way, and you will be able to email others by looking at their email addresses in their profiles (if they've put it there, of course).

I'm not game enough to put my email addy in my profile, especially after the recent spate of viruses discussed on here.
In future, I'll use AVD purely for chatting, not for buying/selling items.. though it was worth gold for that.

Well, today I got my bf to u2u me. He did and nothing came through. I sent him a u2u, and he never got it. Also nothing registered in my outbox at all.
What is going on pretty please??? Very frustrating as it used to be all good. 😢

Yes i would appreciate this problem to be rectified as its becoming very difficult to use this forum and contact other members...
It almost seems like no-one cares about this problem? Im feeling the same way as PBB, VERY frustrated.

But yeah, I agree that it's making things very difficult. Surely we aren't the only ones with this problem? And that it happened with the upgrade is a bit weird also. I had another email today saying I had a u2u, yet nothing here. 🙁

I get u2u's, and I don't have it notifying me, but you folks not receiving u2u's DO have it notifying your e-mail address?
If so, I'll look into that, but for the time being, please turn off e-mail notification of u2u's.

Andrew i have never ever had it set to email notify me if i have u2u's and mine doesn't work.
If i try to send one, nothing happens, nothing in the out box, nothing at all.
Nothing in, and nothing out.
