I am the proud new owner of the 58 Rat Look Beetle "Rattamattack
Feeling rather embarrased at winning a trophy at EuroDay in a car that Mother Nature created and I luckly just welcomed into the family.
I am after some Rubber Floor Mats for the rear, the ones in the car fell to pieces when I carefully pulled them out.
So if anyone has some ratty originals in the grey colour not black I would love them.

go along to Clarke Rubber n buy some sheet use the old mats as a template n cut along the dotted line

I think you may need to Pull the engine and give it a De COKE as i bet the inlet ports are Carboned up. My 36hp used to travel as my Sea Blue does, so i think you have some Inlet restrictions in the head area

Re the mats you never know if you don't ask!
Hang on I work for Subaru and we have this great product called upper engine cleaner and it is designed to clean the inlet manifold on Subaru's as they have the same issue with the manifold being sooo long too.
I am off home now to try it.
