I have photos of my 1964 retro looking bat- mobile, The motor starts first go and is out of a splity. I want to sell this one of a kind retro style car am open to offers. It's a manual and has no rust and was built by a motor dealer in Brisbane. It's very cool looking and would look great done up.
reminds me of an old sunbeam or triumph or similar english sports cars from the '60's.

hmmm. i dont think it would be registered as a vw beetle though. despite what he says on ebay.
HotRodMatt ·
I don't mind it...
Rego is based on the chassis so yes it still would be registered as a Beetle, just as that Lambo is registered as a Type 3.

Looks to me like it usd Mk 2 Zephyr Head and Tail Lights.
Maybe even Zephyr front guards and rear quarters or part thereof.

nice paint wheels would be a real talking point because i'm kinda getting sick of seeing the same vw's every week something differant would be good for the eyes sorry vw nuts but thats life some of us like to be differant

each to their own...didn't notice any cooling vents anywhere.
whatnow ·
someone was taking some serious drugs when they designed/made the door cutouts.
the tail is a little long and the front looks a little un resolved but over all it is kind of cool.
Joel ·
it looks to me like the fuel pump is connected to an old victa toe cutter fuel tank mounted on the fire wall
that poor old engine would over heat to buggery with no sealing tin around it and no cooling vents
god only knows how heavy that body is

Buy it, bang a Suby motor in it with a radiator in the front there, and VOILA an interesting rocket. A Bettle in fact 🙂

Man thats a cool 'coachbuilt'.... With a little work is could be very cool...
Fix up those damn ugly cutouts, add some peaks to the headlights, some 59 Caddy taillight bullets, maybe a TBird bonnet scoop and wraparound windscreen, some EK Holden flashes on the sides, two tone paint, reshape those rear wheel archs (lower, flatter), they are way to small, run some nice 17's on 35 series rubber and it would be a very cool custom!.... Add some intakes and a HiPo donk and running gear.... now we're talkin.... I love coachbuilts

Now this is starting to look interesting.... Add another 800 bux to get it to Perth!....
Nahh.... Still can't afford it....
Come on you East Coasters....
This is the basis of a trully unique 'coach built'....
Sure its not a Dannenhauer & Strauss or a Rometsch (though it does look a little like a late Rom) but, imagine the looks you'll get!
Coach Builts are the coolest VW's.... Every man and his dog has a Karmann and Hebs are common as muck ;-) But this.... This is unique!
