anyone noticed how much rove copies letterman?
he makes me sick.

Rove is D league at best. Even my Mum thinks he is lame. Did you ever see Vizard tho? He was way worse. Letterman should have sued him.

i feel like sending letterman a tape of roves segments that copy him the most so that he can rip him off on international tv which may send rove crawling back under the rock from which he came. i know theres alot of rove fans out there, but if u watch letterman there is no way u can think any of his jokes are unique or funny.

I hate letterman. He's stuck up, patronising and doesn't even write his own jokes. Shame they don't get someone else to do the show instead of dave the plastic monkey. Still, I spose the yanks love him, and he does have awesome guests and the band are amazing...well maybe except for Paul Shaeffer...is it just me or does he totally seem weird?

I've just realised, this isn't about letterman, it's about rove. To be honest I've never really watched him. Doesn't seem that interesting, the only bit I saw was of him and 3 mates playing charades. How weird is that, people played charades 100years back coz there was no telly, now the show execs think it's some sort of new entertainment. You have to laugh.🙄

All Rove does now-a-days is talk really loud and ppl think it's funny. It's not. He did used to be funny in his early years though... now he's crusty like the side of you're mouth after you drool in your sleep.

They must be on commercial TV. I can only stomach ABC and SBS these days. I miss History Channel from when we had Foxtel. Other than the one or two hours of TV a week, a few on the 'net and a lot of the rest of the time keeping the missus satisfied. I would rather spend my time reading a book.

Also totally uses bits of Hey hey it's saturday so the show basically is completly other peoples stuff but it must be a format which works as it is still on......
They suck you in with celebs and bands only to get let down at the end of the show.

he also totally copied an entire speech from dave hughes on the glass house. it was pre recorded weeks before it went to air, and aired the night after rove is on.

What is original nowadays? Everyone is influenced by someone else in some way. Even in the VW scene.....

It's eay to work out why he is copying Hey Hey, it was genuinely FUNNY, a lot of the audience now would not have watched it. I have only seen Rove twice, first was when John Travolta was on and my wife is a fan of his, fortunately she is not a scientologist. The second was last night while I was going through a 4 hour video tape looking for a 30 min program I had taped in there somewhere on long play. Took a while but I found it. In the meantime I was watching him interview Priscilla Presley and all she seemed to be talking about was her daughter, a bit ho hum really.
The most memorable thing to me was. "What the fuck has she done to her face?" and I hope she is suing whoever did it...
She looked like a bulk store for botox and silicon imlpants in her lips.
What a mess.
Maybe she got some tips from her past son in law! (you know the one who used to a good looking black man and now looks like an ugly white woman)

My persoanl hate is people at work who imtate rove after his show is on each week

Letterman has been copying himself for years!
It's so formulaic I watch it to get to sleep..

A rove, to those of us who don't know this, is one of those cup shaped washers which is the other end of a rivet, usually brass, as used in leather work. A rove is correctly used when it is hit very hard on its head with a hammer and flattened competely. Rove is therefore, dome shaped, with a hole in his head and brassy. I think Rove is well named.
