Purchased in November for a song, my Rat ride is coming along quite well.

not often u see an original basket weave interior in an early model
late 67s were the only early models with it
i looked at buying one
it even had a push button catch on the decklid like 68 on
dont know if that was original though

It was a bit dusty on arrival but cost less than $20 inc. freight.

Boris has roof rack on (thanks Paul).
Will post pics after Ol Skool/New Skool show on the weekend.
We're gonna throw the cat among the pidgeons with the pristine rodder crew at this show.

Whitewalls are inserts, got them from Classic Vee Dub in NSW.
Bought a few things from them, visor, w/walls, venetian etc. Priced well too.

It's happened at last.... Boris is low, thanks to the tireless efforts of a local veedubber helping a relative newcomer to the scene.
Boris is now rolling a 4"narrow beam and a little down at the rear. The stance is exactly how i wanted it, still some more small changes to happen before the show season, will keep you posted.

Just a quick update on some changes:
Picked up a full interior fron Turbo54 on the forums. From an earlier model but am very happy with results. Also, got a ski rack off egay, just to get em scratching their heads as to why I would be carrying skis in Adelaide??!!!??

Well it's been a while since an update.
The Easter Weekend presents itself with some time up my sleeve and an idea.
Thought i would give Boris a dose of some flash trim. I know that I may get bagged for this but i reckon it looks ok. Not based on any particular design but Boris is all about new ideas and having a go .... so here it is.

I have to tell you that if you look real close, it's not absolutely brilliant, but from a few steps away it looks effective. I used a generic plastic self adhesive moulding from my local auto parts store. Looks to be nearly the same width as original trim.
Wanted to make it different to Flash trim that everyone has and if I tried to make it look the same would probably have come out crappy.

Mate good job! I did the smae by using the stick on chome from Rare Spares and it Looks very original even up close!
Heres a picture to show you how i did it. Have a go at doing the whole side by using og flash trim pictres then pencil it outand stick away!

A quick update on Boris. I managed to pick up Best Rat at the weekends Volksfest. Thanks to everyone for their encouragement and to the organisers for a wonderful event.
Here he is... Boris the Rat/Cal/Racer. No rat prize next year though as paint will be going on in the winter.

What size rims do you have on the back? Did you fabricate yourself?

I think that the rims are 15 x 7 and I bought them as is from a mate, I just gave em a lick of colour. Rear tyres are 205/70/15 's which aree nice and chunky.
