The best i did have was AGI @ $1,100 for $16,500
That is with a restricted drive discount but #1 "might" want to learn soon
Shannons is $1,150 with no restriction on learners
the others i have checked are all like $1,400
I am suppose to be on 65% No claim bonus
What do other golf/passat etc drivers pay??
I have mates here with $50k cars paying less??

That's a bunch for sure. Do you have the 1303 with Shannons? They will do a multi-policy discount if you ask them.

I have a 01 GTI which is insured with AAMI for about $600.00 and a 03 Passatt insured with AAMI for about $650.00. Just for reference I'm 36 live on the South of Brisbane and rating 1 (whatever that means). They are insured for market value which is great for the golf, maybe not so for the Passatt.
I asked Shannons about putting these on the policy with another VW they insure and they were not very keen or as competitive.

What are your excess's??
I just rang AMII and they wer $1500 :P and that is with 70%
must be the price you pay for living in the BEST city :blah:blah:blah
AMII will reduce to 1/2 that if i up the excess from $500 to $2000
Have to have a think about it

excess is the standard rate, $500.00??
On the Passatt, I changed from NRMA as they were charging about $1500.00

we have standard $400 excess... if someone between 25- 30 drives it the excess is lots more... under 25 no insurance.

I've just gotten my Manx and Twin Cab insured through Shannon's for $521 a year on $25000 value.Thats for both cars. Both are modified vehicles and the Twin Cab is nominated as a daily driver and the Manx on limited km (less than 4000km a year).Looks like i got a good deal!!:bounce

I just got quoted $262 on $10000 on my 54 bug from Shannons.. compare this to Vigil: $635 on $10000... guuuh.. anyone else with different insurance co's?
