seeing as theres some sort of legal action being taken against the forum which would appear to be serious enough to shut it down should it go the wrong way i thought id make this post where members could post their emails or msn identitys so other members could keep in touch should the forum collapse.
even if somethign else starts up and a mailing list could be sent an invite to join etc.
I have got to give a great big heart felt thanks to everyone on The Kombi Club and some members of AVD, who have sent messages of support. It is appreciated, very much so.
I have moved the original post and replies, to a secure place as I didn't want it developeing into a mud slinging match. The Kombi Club is above that and will not be dragged into the gutter like certain people want it to be. If it is, they have won
The Kombi Club is a happy vibrant place, its members are amongst the finest on this planet. We share a common interest and have seen the Club grow at a great speed, maybe even 1000 members by the end of the year
As a final note, I am not taking legal action against AVD as I have already stated to Brad in a telephone conversation, on the morning of the 14th March and in a emails to Andrew and Brad following that.
I am going to put this behind me and get on with building a club, that will forward the Kombi cause and kombi lifestyle throughout Australia

I'd sugest everybody change there posted email in this thread to the same format as mine... or I can almost guarentee it will be picked up by trawling spambots!
anywho hope things dont get shut down... mind you tho... Brad posted a thread earlier that said legal action is still being taken... dunno who to believe, so anyway, I've set up a forum very similar to AVD that achieves the same purpose, so that we all have somewhere aussie run to go instead ofhaving to go to the Samba in the event that AVD is squashed... allthough hopefully it never comes to that, as 4 yeARS OF valuable information will be lost to all. 🙁
I am going to attempt to archive some of the very useful and important stuff just in case

Hehe..thanks man! 🙂.. its just my small way of keeping us all together as we are now in the event that this forum goes down the pootube....
If AVD dies, it will be only in body, not spirit.... and shall be re-encarnated with a clean slate... not that it's slate is terribly dirty anyway IMO... :duh
If things take a turn for the worst tho... pop in the lifeboat. 😀
By the way... I have to thank Karina (butidontunderstand) for assisting me with setting up the backup site tonite...woulda taken my twicce as long otherwise LOL. 👍

What I don't uderstand is a) how any outside party could sabotage a forum, unless they were someone in the hosting company...and b) whhat motive anyone woujld have to destroy an innocent free for all dub forum's reputation and cause them to land in the courts.
There must be more to this than meets the eye... however I will not even begin to speculate... 🙁
