how to send a VW overseas?

i know a few of you have probably sold your cars overseas, and im just wondering how do i go about organising a car to be sent over to the UK?
should i just leave it up to the buyer or is there something i can do to help with the process?
any websites or numbers i can call greatly appreciated.
