After dreaming of owning a Beetle forever, I have finally decided to buy one for restoration. It’s a bit sad being a Beetle nut without owning a Beetle! I have not yet found the right one, but hopefully I’ll have one soon … already thinking of a name for him/her. So if you are selling, have a look at my “wanted” post on the buying & selling forum.
Look forward to chatting about Beetles!

Hi there,
Good luck in your hunt for that special Beetle friend.
One day it will just happen, like it did for me, with a $400 outlay.
Your dream bug will be out there, again, good luck.

Hey thanks for the warm welcome!
I'm on the Northside. I drool at the old vw's (even the wrecks) every time I go past Mick's Motors : )
Yeah resoration .. ha ha! I'm not a total newbie to doing up cars. My hubby was doing up a couple of old cars when I met him. Now that I have convinced him to get a Beetle he is very excited about doing up another car - although we already have very different ideas about what we are going to do to it. Anyway, I'm sure I'll bombard you all with lots of questions soon. Cheers!

I really like the 60's vintage beetles, though I'm always changing my mind. I wouldn't mind a kombi as well ... maybe that'll be my next project.
