i wouldnt mind something a bit sportier, something that engages a bit quicker. i like the feel of a stronger clutch.
im running an old swinger box and the engine is a 1776 with mild cam.
what are my options and how much should i expect to pay?

what are the details on the clutch you run barls?
do u remember how much?
barls ·
stock 1800 clutch from sach
that all i remember because i got it through the old man who has a workshop. i can ask tomorrow if you like and also get a rough price as well but it depends what you are running
Anthiron ·
im not looking to buy right now just scouting out prices but if u didnt mind findind out a price that would be great.
would be for a type 1 engine, 1776, mild cam running 34 pict solex at the moment but will have a progressive webber on it.
stock swingaxle tranny...porbobly a 1500 box.
i want something just a teeny bit sportier than stock.
barls ·
sounds very similar to what i ran before i got the t4 except for the swing axle

Use a Kennedy 1700lb pressure plate, they sell for around $220-$250. (also called a stage 1)

yeh thats wat ive been told a kennedy for my new motor thats wat im after rod penrose said he just landed 30 of them im waiting on a price
Anthiron ·
thanks craig👍

ok the old man suggested the dakin kit which has the sachs disc for about $160 or so and could handle most of what you can throw at it with that motor. he also said that you dont want too heavy a clutch as you then will break the throwout forks and be putting cables in al the time. but make your own decision
