IKEA in campers??????

I heard somewhere IKEA make great stuff that just happens to fit Kombi campers or can be easily modified to fit. Anyone know if those canny Swedes are closet bus fans? If it is true, what specifically from their range fits?

Not just Kombis- we used Ikea gate leg table-seats etc in Mercedes Bus we fitted out.

Been sleeping on a BEDDINGE for over two years now.
I'll get up and do something one of these days.

Go and have a look mate, they do bathroom cabinets and the kitchen top cabinets all look really like the right size, and I mean a good fit and they are cheap. They also have some custom ones that looked pretty good too. I have a few pics of people who have used them. The handles and all that crap is great too. They have a kids bed tent thing that looks like it would make a good awning. ikea is a kombis best friend ;-)

me and my cabinet maker mate are thinking of replicating westfalia or similar fitouts ,do you guys think theres a market for splittys and bay conversions?

Hey Kruisin, I am sure that there is a market for replicas . i just dont know if people will buy off some one with an avatar as scary as yours. LOL MItchy

Just check the numbers on the instructions match what's in the box, or you could end up assembling a bloody Volvo in your lounge room.
