WANTED - Beetle for School Musical!

I know this isn't in the normal 'wanted' area... but this isn't a normal 'wanted' item.

I work in administration at a Highschool on the northside of Brisbane, and am the school's resident "bug nut" being the owner of a nicely restored 74 Superbug. 😉

This year the school musical is going to be "Grease"!

I have been requested by the teachers to find a suitable shell of a beetle, fastback or wagon to use in the musical.

They asked preferrably for a beetle as they are small and light, but beggars can't be choosers. We're planning to cut the top off and paint it funky colours so it represents that era. So you most likely won't want it back afterwards.

Please note that they only need the shell (with wheels) no engine, as it needs to be wheeled across the stage. It does need to be able to carry some actors though! (we can improvise if it doesn't have seats).

If anyone is interested in helping us out please reply with details, I'll be checking the forum regularly. 😉

Hmmmmmmmm.......same as us Chris.......sent 3 shells away. It always seems that once you throw something away, everyone wants it.
